-------------------------------------- Notes on USB-PS2 Converters -------------------------------------- Such devices contain am USB chip which just emulates the PS2 connection towards keyboard and mouse. For standard keyboards such converters might work, but when receiving long/fast sequences such adapters will cause problems. Therefore we cannot guarantee the function of our PS2 keyboards with such converters. We also have tried some types of such adaptor hardware for "normal" keyboard operation (typing). Unfortunately most adapters are not compliant to the PS2 specification / timing. So it mostly depends on the active adaptor model used. Some are not working at all. -------------------------------------- ATTENTION: -------------------------------------- Programming our keyboards behind such converters is technically not possible at all. This is only possible when connecting the keyboard directly to a hardware PS2 port. The active adaptor does NOT allow to send special ps2 commands and also NOT to translate special headers/terminators used for OPOS under PS2. -------------------------------------- ALTERNATIVES: -------------------------------------- Please connect to hardware PS2 ports. For notebooks computers using a docking station might help. Please use a real USB keyboard (e.g. the MCI series) if you have the need to connect it via USB. Our MCI series keyboards of course support programming via USB. Furthermore the MCI keyboards are backward compatible to PS2 mode.
