MCI Touch Driver - Win7 We're sorry, but driver development for this touch controller device was discontinued by the controller manufacturer. Therefore full support for MCI 15 and MC15 76504-2xx on Windows 7 will be not possible. Especially as your TouchScreen model is discontinued for some time now. Please see below some possibilities for MCI Touch devices on Windows 7. ---- 1) Driver development for this touch controller device was discontinued. Therefore the version 2.4.3 will be the latest version of the MCI Touch driver. Following the specification, this driver supports the operating systems Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP. Please see the driver link on our support page: MCI15_Touchdriver243.zip ---- 2) For Win7/32bit you can use the existing MCI Touch driver V2.4.3 for XP with some limitations (see below) Win7/64bit this will not be possible due to the driver signing limitations of this OS. The XP driver V2.4.3 driver has the following limitations for Win7/32bit: * USB driver might have to be installed manually: Windows' device manager -> Update driver -> Select "Programm files\MCITouch"…. -> Finish. * The touch function should be working then via USB. * Audio feedback is not possible (neither as PC speaker, nor as sound card) * After PC Sleep/Standby: Controller not accessible any more à Avoid sleep modes in the Windows' power settings. ---- 3) Alternative drivers: To our knowledge, the UK company TouchBase Ltd. provides their "UPPD" universal drivers for nearly any touch controller hardware. These drivers support nearly any newer OS but are not free of charge – for details see http://touch-base.com Testing drivers can be requested on their download centre: http://touch-base.com/download.asp For the MCI Touch controller, please select "Aspen ATM series" type. Sorry for no better news. For Windows7 and especially for 64bit versions you should use a newer TouchScreen model like our MTE 15 having an ELOTouch controller. --- pkt/2073/2012-02-13
