In mid-January, the NRF 2023 returned to its original location, the Javits Center in New York City, for the first time since the pandemic. In addition to numerous conferences, the Expo was the main attraction for visitors from all over the world. More than 1,000 exhibitors were participating on two floor levels with more than 28,000 square meters to present the latest retail trends to visitors. More than 30,000 guests attended the show over the 3 days.

PrehKeyTec focused on flexible and fast data entry for various applications. A special highlight was the combination of our compact, programmable keyboard MCI 30 paired with the all-in-one system Engage One Pro from HP. The keyboard is the perfect addition for faster entry of PLU codes for products sold without a barcode, such as fruit, vegetable or pastry.

Our demonstration also presented a new alternative for capturing data from passports or other identification documents as well as various robust options for bump bar use in the kitchen, which were particularly convincing due to their haptic feedback. Among other things, a prototype made of silicone with backlighting was demonstrated.
